Clean Water

Ayitah Charity Foundation / Clean Water

CLEAN WATER FOR ALL

Nearly 90 percent of Uganda’s 35 million people live in small towns and rural areas, and roughly, two thirds of them lack access to clean water.

Women and children spend a lot of time walking miles to collect water for drinking, cooking, and washing. They collect disease infested water from drains, ditches and streams. This water carries diseases like diahorrea-which has contributed to the high mortality rate of children in rural communities.

Most notably this crisis can be prevented through the provision of three fundamental foundations of human progress: DELIVERING CLEAN WATER, DISPOSING WASTE WATER and PROVIDING SANITATION.

It is because of this, that this program was developed.

Our aim is to set up as many boreholes, dig clean water wells and other clean water sources that will increase access to free clean water in rural communities.
